This equipment was designed to guarantee the operation of the transformers TAPs in substations and operation of valves in industrial processes. The equipment receives two forms of power, one from the three-phase AC auxiliary service and the other from the existing DC power system. At the output, it supplies three-phase AC voltage, coming from the first input. Only in the absence of the AC input or any phases, the UPS converts the DC power from the second input into AC power (high frequency PWM) adjusted for the motor power that drives the power transformer TAP changer, or triggers the valve engine.
Application:
- Pumps and compressors
- Higher power fans and exhausters
- TAPs control motors in substation transformers
Available configurations:
- The first configuration, from a reliable DC power supply, associated with a set of batteries in which a specific Inverter set is implemented for starting the motor on a ramp. Thus, the Inverter is dimensioned with practically the same power as the motor, which starts operating without spikes and overloads.
- In the second configuration, the system is supplied complete, that is, with Rectifier, Batteries and the Inverter, specific to each motor.
